If you wish to help with the making of the wiki there are currently many tasks for you to do.
Even if you don't find anything you feel you could help with, you can always browse the wiki for typos, weirdly constructed sentences, and just anything else.
Developer Area
This website is powered by the Spud Engine, which you can find in the 'src' directory of the repository.
It is fully written in Javascript and it compiles all the SpudText pages into HTML files which are then uploaded to GitHub Pages.
SpudText is a file format which takes (a lot of) inspiration from Markdown and WikiText file formats.
Here is the current developer to-do list:
- add !category and !tag directives
- add a way to search by category and tag
- design a site map for the left panel (the current list has to disappear)
- design a better welcome page
- design a better about page
- add ARIA for accessibility where possible
- add single line and multi line comments to spudtext
- think of a better title for the article 'Sup Face' and what redirects to add to it
- turn the !noteXXX directive into !note XXX to make it easier to tokenize and to block unsafe characters
- add list of allowed domains for external links
- only allow https in external links and make it optional
- add arrow key support to search feature
- hide search results when clicking out of their container (and out of the search input)
- merge adjacent note refs' <sup>s, thus decreasing the number of DOM elements. ignore whitespaces between them
- make !redirect directive specific for each heading (make that string redirect to that heading specifically)
- add global constants to spudtext, for example COMMIT_HASH and VERSION_STRING
- decouple tokens from node functionality
- add some way to prettify spudtext in VS Code and in online editor
- use specific html elements where possible for accessibility (small, sub, sup, hgroup (for redirect), address (for contributors), abbr)
- add testing for all spudtext functionality
- add save and load to editor, maybe multiple save slots
- add autosave (only if multiple save slots and it saves in a special save slot)
- add squiggles for warnings and errors in editor
- add auto-compilation in editor
- click/hover squiggled text to get information about it
- click on warning to show the spot in the editor
- better editor issue console
- decide whether to hide the spudtext documentation in <details> and <summary> or to make it a different page
- make editor warn about unusual characters (MS word's ' and " alternatives)
- add !include directive, to include a spudtext files inside another one
- Add 'titles' to contributors, like "Official Rememberer, First of her name", "Master Bopped", Master of the Typo and so on
- Remove duplicate search results when they point to the same article
- Automatically sort page contributors lexicographically
- Add !contrib_list directive to make the contributors page automatic
- Make 'Darker', 'Darkerer' and 'Darkest' themes
- Think about adding Spuddle minigame to the wiki, like Wordle but only using Spuddle words
- Add way to randomly change Celtic's username to Cetlic (!cetlic to allow it in the page, maybe?)
- Add a way for each page's script to know which usernames are shown on screen
- Add a way to add usernames in spudtext, like ###<username>### which will also be colored if they are in the contributors' list and link to twitch
- Add contributors and last modified as a part of the article content's footer, inside its content and not in the page's footer

Articles Area
While there is already an impressive number of articles on this wiki, there are still many more than need doing!
In this list you will find all articles that are either being worked on by somebody or currently waiting for YOU to work on them.
If you want to do so, please whisper Matty5957 on Twitch or report it as an issue in the GitHub repository.
When you do finish working on your articles, either whisper it to Matty, contact Matty on Pearlcord, use a GitHub issue or a Pull Request to have it added to the wiki.
Remember, you have to explicitly say you agree with licensing your article under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 or a less restrictive license.

The only "art", if we want to call it as such, is the logo of the wiki, hand-drawn by Matty on MS Paint.
It is not great. If you want to give us some art for some articles, art for the currently barren background of all pages, art for anything really, feel free to reach out!
As you can see by the artistry of the logo, you don't need to be god at drawing to have your art added to the wiki.
Same as with articles, you have to explicitly agree to license your art under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 or a less restrictive license and, again, if you don't want your name added to the list of contributors, you can say so.
